Attach the Metal Plate

The CarryRise stand's key innovation is the magnetic connection between the stand and your monitor.

Three steps to attach the metal plate: 1) Choose position on the back — position the metal plate at the bottom for maximum height, or at the centre for vertical use. 2) Clean the device's surface — wipe the spot with the included alcohol pad. 3) Stick the adhesive plate — peel away the protective film, press firmly, and leave to set for 10 minutes.

Which portable monitors do you recommend?

The CarryRise stand works with any portable monitor under 3kg (6.6 lbs). For an ultra-portable setup we love the Asus MB16ACE (710g); for a brighter, higher-colour panel try the Arzopa Z1RC. If your monitor is under 3kg with a flat back panel, you're good to go.

What is the maximum height of the stand?

The CarryRise extends from 15cm up to 45cm (18 inches). When your monitor is mounted, the top of the screen will sit roughly 10cm higher than that, depending on the size of the monitor.

How heavy is the stand?

Just 380g (about 0.84 lbs) — lighter than a 500ml water bottle. It folds down flat enough to slide into the side pocket of most backpacks.

How does the monitor attach to the stand?

In the box you'll find an adhesive metal plate that sticks to the back of your monitor. The stand holds the plate with a strong neodymium magnet, so attaching and detaching the screen takes about a second. It's designed to be removed cleanly if you ever need to reposition it.

How much weight can the stand hold?

The CarryRise supports portable monitors and tablets up to 3kg (6.6 lbs). For best stability we recommend monitors with a balanced centre of gravity — most 13–17 inch portable monitors fall well within range.

Can I use my screen horizontally and vertically?

Yes — the magnetic head rotates a full 360° so you can flip between landscape and portrait at any time. Useful for code, long documents, or chat apps next to your laptop.

Does the magnetic plate damage the monitor?

No. The included plate uses a 3M-grade adhesive that sticks securely without leaving residue when removed. The magnet itself never touches your monitor — it grips the metal plate.
